When trying to quit something it's key to remember that you need to have something else in place. We offer two different ways of looking at this.
Option 1.
Set a goal to cut down on drinking, purely by reducing the amount you drink.
Option 2.
Here is another way of looking at it. Setting a goal to get everything done in your day that needs doing, getting your exercise in, etc, and then deciding to unwind with a few drinks.
At this point, your need for alcohol is likely going to be significantly less. The point we are making is that you can force a reduction in alcohol, you don't have to rely on willpower alone. You can put measures in place and get a plan in place.
Drinking in this manner allows you to embrace your drinking sessions. Having a drink when everything is caught up on, when you are hydrated and clear-headed is more ideal compared to uncontrolled drinking.
Drink mindfully, not recklessly!
Sincerely,
