We wanted to touch upon micro-stressors.
A micro-stressor can be anything from waiting in a long queue to waiting on the phone for an extensive amount of time.
A micro-stressor is exactly that, anything acute that causes stress.
What we should have said here is that anything "that seems acute"
It may sound comical to say that a phone call to pay a utility bill has caused you a sense of stress.
It may sound comical to say that a long queue or a long wait has caused you stress.
However these "micro-stressors" do add up, and crucially they need to be identified, channeled, and controlled.
You may have a sense of first world problems when reading this article, but the reason why micro-stressors are such a threat is because they a more masked compared to more major stressors.
